Bill Dinner

Yoga Instructor

Bill began practicing yoga and quickly became immersed within the practice. Yoga became a major influence for him both on the mat and in life. He embraced its philosophical principles, focus on health, and completed his 200 hour teacher training in 2009. Since then Bill has been teaching with enjoyment, energy and dedication, and maintains a daily practice. Quite a switch after a long career as a data expert on Wall Street.

Bill teaches an Ashtanga-based vinyasa style with a strong focus on breath while incorporating other schools of yoga and Qigong. He observes his students closely and customizes his classes to their needs and energy levels. Bill especially enjoys watching his students grow and become empowered in all aspects of life.

Since his initial training, Bill has continued to study with breath teacher Richard P. Brown, MD and Qigong Master Robert Peng. He has studied with Iyengar certified teachers and many of the Ashtanga master teachers. He completed six weeklong immersion sessions with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, a full week teacher training course with Nancy Gilgoff and Christine Hoar. In addition, he was also fortunate to take over five weeks of classes with Sharath and Saraswati Jois and is certified as a yoga therapist after extensive training with Manu Jois.

Bill enjoys tennis, cycling and traveling, and is a highly accomplished bridge player. Included in his travels, there have been two monthlong trips to India – to better understand the roots of yoga from both a cultural and religious perspective.

He is especially grateful and loyal to his local teachers Lisa Bondy and Jean Aronoff. Lisa introduced him to Ashtanga yoga and Jean introduced him to Iyengar.

Bill lives with his wife and has two grown sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law and wonderful granddaughter.
